The Magic of Cross-Platform Persistence

Now that you've connected an external tool, you can save information from anywhere and it appears everywhere.

This guide shows you how to prove that your memory truly persists across all platforms.

How to Save from Your Connected Tool

The beauty is: just talk naturally The AI assistant in your external tool knows how to save to Intangle.

Step-by-Step

Step 1: Open your connected tool (Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, or Cursor)

Step 2: Start a new conversation

Step 3: If using ChatGPT, select Intangle from the + button (required for ChatGPT)

Step 4: Tell the assistant to save something:

Example Phrases That Work

Simple saves:

- "Remember that I prefer Vue over React"

- "Save this to Intangle: The staging server URL is https://staging.example.com"

- "Add to my work space: Client prefers blue color scheme"

Creating tasks:

- "Create a task in Intangle: Review the authentication code"

- "Add a task to my work space: Follow up with Sarah about the proposal"

- "Remember to fix the mobile navigation bug"

With space specification:

- "Save to my Personal space in Intangle: My favorite coffee shop is Blue Bottle"

- "Add this to my Work space: Team standup is every day at 10am"

Step 5: The assistant will confirm it was saved successfully

Verify Cross-Platform Persistence

Now for "the moment" - proving your memory is truly persistent:

Test 1: External Tool → Web App

1. Save something from your external tool

2. Open the Intangle web app

3. Navigate to the space where you saved it

4. It's there!

Test 2: Web App → External Tool

1. Save something in the Intangle web app

2. Go to your external tool

3. Ask: "What did I just save about [topic]?"

4. The assistant finds it

This shows your memory is synchronized across all platforms in real-time.

Understanding Automatic Classification

When you save from an external tool, Intangle's AI automatically decides the type.

You don't need to specify - just describe naturally!

Which Space Does It Go To?

By default, information is saved to your currently active space. You can:

1. Let the assistant choose based on context

2. Explicitly specify: "Save to my 'Work' space"

3. Ask: "What spaces do I have?" if you're unsure

The assistant will confirm which space it used when saving.

Why This Matters

Traditional Apps

Information lives in one place:

- Notes in Apple Notes stay in Apple Notes

- ChatGPT conversations disappear when you close the chat

- Cursor has no memory between projects

Intangle

Information is available everywhere:

- Save in ChatGPT → search from Claude Desktop

- Save in Intangle app → access from Cursor

- Save in Cursor → view in the web app

- **One memory system, accessible from all your tools**

Real-World Examples

Scenario 1: Developer using Cursor

You're coding and discover a bug:

In Cursor: "Add a task to Intangle: Fix the race condition in the user authentication flow"

Later in web app: View the task, update its status as you work on it

Scenario 2: Researcher using ChatGPT

You're researching and find key insights:

In ChatGPT: "Save to my Research space: The study found that..."

Later in Claude Desktop: "What did I learn about [topic]?" - Instant recall

Scenario 3: Project Manager using Claude Desktop

You're in a meeting discussing requirements:

In Claude Desktop: "Remember for Project Phoenix: Client wants mobile-first design with offline support"

Later in web app: Share the space with your team

Tips for Success

- Start simple: Save something small, then verify it appears in the web app

- Try multiple tools: Experience synchronization across platforms

- Use natural language: Don't worry about perfect phrasing

- ChatGPT users: Remember to select Intangle at the start of each chat
